Kipling was one of the most popular writers in the United Kingdom, in both prose and verse, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Henry James said: “Kipling strikes me personally as the most complete man of genius (as distinct from fine intelligence) that I have ever known.”
What makes a great film? Terrific cast, well-written storyline, on-spot directing. This film has it all. From the first shot, you can see the effort from both filmmakers and actors. Also, the hugeness of casting makes you take a minute to question “How a movie like this can be shooted?” at the end of the movie. It is really hard to find and see that level of dedication from these great actors Micheal Caine and Sean Connery with an amazing harmony.
